Pooky's Close Call

Pooky had a close call last week. His mama, Skylar, let him go for a spend-the-night party at a friend's house and somehow, Pooky suffered a serious injury to his throat. Thankfully, "Dr. Sherry" was on call and rushed Pooky into surgery. In the first photo you can see Pooky having a CAT scan to determine the extent of his injuries. It was serious. Pooky was prepped for surgery - in the 2nd and 3rd photos you can see him hooked to a heart monitor with the surgeon's equipment laid out alongside him.


Although it was touch-and-go for a while, "Dr. Sherry" successfully stitched Pooky's neck wound and he spent the rest of the weekend recuperating in the hammock on the hospital's lovely grounds. After he was released, a grateful Pooky made a thank you card for "Dr. Sherry" with her favorite sunflower on the front.
